Even as someone who has studied happiness for over 20 years and practices happiness habits regularly, I sometimes feel like an imposter. I know the research and share its importance, yet there are times when I struggle to embody those very principles. I often remind you how important it is to step back from the hustle culture and recognize that our worth isn\u2019t defined solely by our achievements. We are so much more than what we accomplish in a day, week, or year.<\/p>\n\n

Intuitively, I know that myself. The data proves it.<\/p>\n\n

But lately, I\u2019ve found myself overwhelmed. After another late night and only a few hours of sleep, I\u2019m faced with the daunting challenge of fitting everything into my day. It\u2019s exhausting, and at times, I feel like I\u2019m back on that hamster wheel with no escape in sight.<\/p>\n

I want to be transparent about this because I believe it\u2019s important for us as leaders, teachers, and professionals to acknowledge our struggles. It’s imperative to the culture of our organizations to show up authentically and talk about the hard things. It\u2019s in these challenging moments\u2014the valleys\u2014where we often find our greatest lessons and opportunities for growth.<\/p>\n

As you lead your teams, teachers, and students, let\u2019s remember the importance of modeling flow and well-being. I encourage you to reflect on your own experiences and share how you navigate these busy times. What practices help you recharge? How can we support one another in prioritizing our health and happiness?<\/p>\n

Together, let\u2019s create an environment where we uplift each other, embrace our vulnerabilities, and lead by example. It starts with you and the courage to share the struggle. I’m here to learn and grow alongside you, and it means the world to your people to see that you are learning and growing alongside them.<\/p>\n
