As Father’s Day approaches, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for all the fathers and father figures in our lives. Whether it’s the biological dads, stepdads, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, or any other paternal figures, they play an invaluable role in shaping us by providing love, guidance, and support.<\/p>\n\n

The picture below happens to be my husband and our son, Spencer. He’s been such a strong influence in our son’s life, and I’m forever thankful for it.<\/p>\n

\"Kim's<\/p>\n

Here are some things I’d like to share about my dad. (See picture below).<\/p>\n

He’s 78 and here are a few things I love about him.
1. He has a contagious and very loud laugh, and he laughs a lot.<\/p>\n

2. When I see him put his hand on Spencer\u2019s shoulder when he\u2019s talking to him and how he smiles really big while he tells one of his stories. (Yes, the stories we\u2019ve heard a million times.)\ud83e\udd23<\/p>\n

3. He doesn\u2019t judge people and gives them the benefit of the doubt. I have much to learn from him.<\/p>\n

4. He has a very playful personality and a sense of humor. He can handle being the brunt of our jokes and has taught his kids this very same trait.<\/p>\n

5. His perseverance.<\/p>\n

He has been a painter his whole life, but at age 74, he had to give it up due to macular degeneration. He also had to surrender his license because of it. But he has an electric bike that he loves riding around town.<\/p>\n

Father’s Day is not just a day to honor dads; it’s a celebration of the profound impact they have on us, our families, and society as a whole. It’s a time to reflect on the lessons they’ve taught us, the sacrifices they’ve made, and the countless memories we’ve shared together.<\/p>\n

To all the dads out there, thank you for everything you do. Your dedication, strength, and unconditional love inspire us every day. You are true heroes, and today, we celebrate you.<\/p>\n
